Deploy apps from Codex App - setup guide

This guide shows how to connect AppDeploy to Codex App so you can deploy apps from chat and get a live URL back.

Follow the steps below to set it up once, then deploy whenever you’re ready, without leaving Codex App.

Step-by-step Guide

  1. Open Codex App and click Settings.

    Open Settings in Codex App

  2. Go to MCP Servers.

    Open MCP Servers in Codex App

  3. In setup, enter the following and click SAVE:

    Transport Type (required):

    STREAMABLE HTTPS

    Name:

    AppDeploy

    URL:

    https://api-v2.appdeploy.ai/mcp
    Set STREAMABLE HTTPS, Name and URL, then click SAVE

  4. Click Authenticate and then click Sign in.

  5. That’s it! Close the Settings window and you’re all set to deploy your first app.

    For example, you can enter the following prompt:

    Build and @AppDeploy a Hello Codex App webpage with a global visitor counter
