Deploy apps from Trae - setup guide

This guide shows how to connect AppDeploy to Trae so you can deploy apps from your agent chat and get a live URL back.

Connect it once, then deploy whenever you’re ready, without leaving Trae.

Step-by-step Instructions

  1. Open Trae (download available here)

  2. Open Settings, then go to MCP

  3. Click Add, choose Add manually, and paste the following configuration:

    { "mcpServers": { "appdeploy": { "url": "https://api-v2.appdeploy.ai/mcp" } } }

  4. Save the configuration. An authentication link appears next to the added appdeploy entry - click it.

  5. An authentication screen opens in your browser. Select how to log in: Google, Apple, X, or Guest.

  6. Setup is done! AppDeploy appears in your MCP list as appdeploy with its tools.

  7. Go to the agent chat and describe your app. For example:

    “Build a Hello Trae webpage with a global visitor counter and deploy it with AppDeploy.”
