Deploy apps from Atlassian Rovo - setup guide
This guide shows how to connect AppDeploy to your Atlassian organization so Rovo agents across your Atlassian apps - Jira, Confluence, and more - can deploy apps and return a live URL.
Add it once, then deploy from your agents.
Note: Adding external MCP servers requires Atlassian organization admin permissions.
Step-by-step Instructions
Open Atlassian Administration (admin.atlassian.com) and select your organization.
In the sidebar, go to Apps → Sites, select your site, then Connected apps.
Next to Explore apps, open the dropdown and choose Add external MCP server.
Review the disclaimers and select Agree and continue.
Choose Custom MCP server, name it
AppDeploy, and enter the AppDeploy MCP URL:https://api-v2.appdeploy.ai/mcpSelect Next and follow the prompts. When prompted, complete the sign-in: Google, Apple, X, or Guest
On the tools settings screen, ensure all AppDeploy tools are enabled.
Setup is done! Open Rovo Chat in any of your Atlassian apps and ask it to build your app - it will use AppDeploy to deploy it. For example:
“Build a Hello Rovo webpage with a global visitor counter and deploy it with AppDeploy.”
